International Women's Day: Lynsey's story
By Lynsey Derosa, Strategic Programme Director
As we celebrate International Women’s Day, Strategic Programme Director, Lynsey Derosa, shares her story and thoughts on creating an equitable work culture.
Starting my recruitment career during the 2008 recession
I have been working at Guidant for nearly nine years now! I’m currently a Strategic Programme Director specialising in HR Outsource, Master Vendor and MSP Programmes. Before Guidant, I worked in HR and Employee Relations, Corporate Social Responsibility and Compliance Auditing.
When I first started working, it was during an extremely tough and unfortunate economic recession. During that time, the immense pride I felt whenever I was able to place candidates into a role was significant on so many different levels.
Fifteen years later and the buzz of finding someone a job has never left me.
Juggling family and life
I am a proud mum to a dog. It really helps having a flexible employer like Guidant as it allows me to walk them every lunch time which is fab!
Being part of a business built on fairness is critical in creating an equitable culture
A business must focus in equal measures on equality, wellbeing, and the working environment. This approach must be more than something we write about – we must also live it.
Our commitment to a culture that brings equity must extend to our employees, clients, candidates, and partners. In creating this environment, our business will build a culture in which long-term employability can be nurtured.
