Nacro
We change lives.
Nacro is a social justice charity. They aim to change lives by designing and delivering services to equip people with skills, advice and support to move on. The work they do supports individuals and communities by:
housing and supporting vulnerable people including young people, adults and families
offering education and skills for young people outside of mainstream schooling
helping people in custody and the community to reintegrate into society
supporting people to overcome barriers presented by their criminal records and to move on from previous mistakes
speaking out on behalf of the people we work with to influence policy and public debate
Guidant has been working in partnership with Nacro since 2012 across England and Wales to recruit for roles in several areas, including: housing, education, health and justice.
Some organisations talk about making a difference. People who work at Nacro do it every day. That takes vision and commitment, but it also takes people who are passionate about helping disadvantaged young people and adults to turn their lives around. To attract and develop the best people in the sector (including ex-offenders) they've created a special career environment – one designed to bring out the best in everyone who works there.
"Nacro is a fantastic place filled with so many warm and passionate people. My role is about as challenging and stimulating as jobs get. It is a very humbling and rewarding experience”.
Emma Story, Service Design and Business Development Manager
“I am proud of my career at Nacro and the chance I have to work alongside a national team of highly committed and skilled staff to deliver quality services to service users in a wide range of different areas.”
