What You'll Be Doing
As an AIT Skilled Production Technician, you'll play a key role in the end‑to‑end build and integration of advanced aerospace hardware. Your day‑to‑day work will include:
Production & Integration
- Installing avionic and mechanical equipment on UAV platforms
- Completing wiring tasks, system integration and component manufacturing
- Conducting and recording installation and system‑integration tests
Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Maintaining accurate build records and documentation
- Self‑certifying completed work to high quality standards
- Supporting continuous‑improvement activities across the production area
- Contributing to problem‑solving and corrective‑action activities
Safety & Care
- Ensuring full adherence to Health & Safety processes
- Handling fragile, precision components with care and attention
What We're Looking For
You'll thrive in this role if you enjoy working hands‑on in a technical environment and take pride in producing high‑quality engineering work.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Multi‑skilled practical experience in avionic or electronic engineering
- Strong understanding of production or maintenance processes
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience building avionic hardware and wiring installations
- Proven ability to approach and solve technical problems proactively
- Organised, quality‑focused and confident in self‑checking your work
Desirable
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an avionic/electronic engineering discipline
- Time‑served apprenticeship in manufacture, installation or testing
- Aerospace sector experience
- Comfortable using relevant IT tools and systems
Experience is valued over formal qualifications.

Pay & Additional Information
- PAYE: £23.29 per hour
- Umbrella: £31.16 per hour
- Occasional travel may be required
