We are seeking an experienced manager to lead a dynamic Building Services function, one of three services in the Economic Growth and Property division of the Council based in Bedfordshire.
You will be responsible for a broad range of services including Project Delivery, Design Services, Building Works, Mechanical and Electrical Compliance, i-Brand business units, corporate building facilities management and the delivery of disabled facilities grants.
This role will give you exposure across all Council services and a customer-focused approach, coupled with the ability to engage effectively with elected members, officers and stakeholders at all levels, which will be essential.
You will be:
- A Qualified Building Surveyor or Registered or Chartered Architect (or have an equivalent qualification)
- An excellent people manager with demonstrable experience of leading large teams
- Experienced in all aspects of Project Management in Capital Projects, Disabled Facilities Grants and Home Improvements, Building Works, Design Services, Mechanical and Electrical Compliance and Facilities Management
- From a Local Authority background, which is highly desirable
You will receive:
- A salary of £54,620 - £61,319 per annum
