Business Systems Analyst (3 Month FTC)

We are looking for a proactive and driven Business Systems Analyst to join the Investment, Development & Partnership (IDP) Department for a 3 month fixed term contract to work with the Project Manager to provide business analytical and business requirements for organisational change to support the provision of effective solutions and services.

The purpose of the role will be to provide expertise and skills to bridge the gap between business need, process and IT capability recommending solutions that deliver value to the IDP department and to The Hyde Group.

All candidates should be immediately available or on short notice for this 3-month FTC.

Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities:

  • Directing analysis and discussions with key internal business stakeholders and 3rd parties to elicit targeted business requirements that are fit for purpose
  • Perform stakeholder analysis and proactively build relationships with key stakeholders and customers, to support achievement of project outcomes
  • Facilitation of processes workshops, mapping of 'as is' processes utilizing business analysis tools (Engage, Visio) and methodologies (UML, BPMN) and define 'to be' processes.
  • Analyse existing processes against the 'to be' processes and identifying any gaps or alternative solutions to meet the required outcomes
  • Prepare comprehensive business requirements documents that meet the needs of business stakeholders
  • Support the Project Manager with business analysis activity planning and ensure deliverables are completed within agreed time frames
  • Identify Risks, Issues, and Assumptions & Dependencies to the Project Manager with mitigating actions where applicable
  • Work with the Project Manager, business Improvement Specialists and Senior Management to translate the business requirements to enable identification and then documentation of a sustainable solution
  • Supporting the developing of technical specifications with business user and 3rd party software providers and participate in solution design

Skills, Experience, and Attributes:

  • 2-5 years Business Analyst experience, ideally within financial services or housing sector
  • Ability to deliver within the application of Atlassian software tools or other Agile methodologies, as well as waterfall
  • Familiar with Techniques such as Scrum, Lean, SDLC, Kanban
  • Experience of delivering change in an IT Structured environment
  • Strong stakeholder management experience with excellent presentation skills
  • Clearly and effectively communicates information, ideas and opinions to internal and external stakeholders through a range of channels
  • Listening attitude with ability to ask the right questions

Desirable:

  • Experience in housing sector appraisal investment and housing development cashflow software
  • Experience in working in digital transformation projects
  • Experience in developing business cases
