Our East Ayrshire Lisalanna Service provides a short break service and a residential service in Cumnock. Both services offer a stable, secure and nurturing home environment, with a focus on life skills development and meaningful social inclusion through working in partnership with families, social work, education and health. Our aim is to provide positive, life enhancing experiences and the staff team are committed to putting children at the heart of everything we do.
Our Short Breaks Service provides a service throughout the year to upwards of 25 families while our Residential Service provides long term support for two young people and respite accommodation for a maximum of 3 young people. The young people who access our services have various learning disabilities, complex health needs and or challenging behaviour. Both services are co-located within Lisalanna in Cumnock.
We are looking for a Domestic to work 20 hours a week which will be Monday to Friday 10am to 2pm and you'll be ensuring that all areas of the project are maintained and kept to a high standard.

You'll significantly improve young people's lives:
By keeping high standards of cleaning
By being able to work using your own initiative
By replenishing cleaning materials and any other stocks as required
By keeping all areas free from hazards
By ensuring all bins are emptied to minimise any fire risk
By reporting any breakages or any concerns to Management
By working within Action for Children's policies and procedures
What will you need?
- A willingness to understand the issues faced by young people
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- The ability to work on your own initiative with good problem solving skills
- A Food Hygiene certificate is desirable
- The ability to prioritise and plan your schedule on a daily basis.
- A good knowledge of COSHH and Health and Safety at work.
- An understanding of Safeguarding
- The willingness to complete training which is relevant to your role.
