Cloud Engineer
London Contract £450-550 per day
These contract roles will require you to have a valid and active DV security clearance prior to assignment.
We're currently seeking an accomplished and highly ambitious Cloud Engineer to work with our exceptional client, a world class brand in a secure environment to drive major business transformation, process and technical change across this complex organisation which will run well into 2025.

These Cloud Engineer roles are conducted in an environment that is far from ordinary, therefore, we're not looking for ordinary. You'll have the potential to work effectively across a large number of teams and a diverse range of projects within our technology community. You will be encouraged and assisted to enhance your skills on unique projects.
You will be able to demonstrate your enthusiasm and experience of working in small, diverse, multi disciplinary teams to deliver flexible and outstanding solutions for internal and external senior stakeholders, helping to mature our cloud systems. Exceptional stakeholder management skills are a must. Highly analytical, flexible and persuasive, with first-class influencing skills, you'll possess the ability to build effective relationships and drive high impact, lasting change across the organisation. You need to have an understanding of Agile principals and the impact of technical changes on business requirements as well as familiarity with ITIL/Prince/PROSCI.
You will be a Cloud Engineer with experience of hands-on delivery in AWS to help mature our cloud systems. You will sit within a software team and work with project requirements to:
- Mature and stabilise the existing technical build and release process for AWS services (Cxx deployment, parameter store/config management, dependency resolution)
- Implement service monitoring, aligning with wider best practice and collaborating with the Monitoring lead
- Implement security best practice and any pen testing remediations
- Work with the data flow and acquisition engineers to provision hardened and tested cloud endpoints.
- Contribute to hardening the existing test framework
The team is currently formed of software developers who have upskilled in AWS cloud. Though the team are knowledgeable, you will be expected to guide and provide best practices on AWS as the dedicated Cloud Engineer.
