London Contract £550-650 per day

We're currently seeking an accomplished and highly ambitious Cloud Engineer t to work with our exceptional client, a world class brand in a secure environment to drive major business transformation.

These contract roles will require you to conduct security clearance prior to assignment. Opportunities are available in London.

These Cloud Engineer roles are conducted in an environment that is far from ordinary, therefore, we're not looking for ordinary. You'll have the potential to work effectively across a large number of teams and a diverse range of projects within our technology community. You will be encouraged and assisted to enhance your skills on unique projects.

We're looking for AWS cloud engineers of at least 1-2 years' experience to join our cloud delivery team. The Engineers will be responsible for delivering the AWS ecosystem required for compliant use of the cloud. Security will be at the heart of everything we do, and an ideal candidate will have a vested interest in keeping the risk profile minimal.

An ideal candidate will be comfortable building, working in and owning environments where they must understand/manage the entire environment. They should be excited by complex and rapidly changing requirements for cloud environments. They should work well alone and as part of small teams.

The project is to:

Work with client-based developers to build business services and re-useable components in the AWS cloud. To help determine the best way of engineering such solutions to provide a world class level of security, anonymity, and separation of duty for solution components. To help educate the wider client base in developed best practice.

Essential skills and experience:

• AWS Certified Solutions Architects - Associate
• Experience of professional software development and the overall design, implementation, integration and operation of IT systems and software (i.e. Gitlab) .
• Experience with Terraform.
• Up-to-date knowledge of the services available from the main cloud providers (Amazon in particular).

Desirable:

• Experience designing secure, resilient, and cost-efficient cloud-based solutions.
• Experience with AWS landing zone accelerator, creating IAM policies, SCP's, step functions, lambda.
• AWS Certified Security Specialist or a strong understanding of AWS Security controls.

Responsibilities:

• Working under Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) to deliver key objectives at pre-defined program increments.
• Identify, articulate, and mitigate any risk associated with the ecosystem.
• Communicating progress regularly with the rest of the team.
• Participate in all aspects of the development lifecycle.
