We are looking for a proactive, organised, and dynamic individual to lead TOG's compliance function.
The role Is responsible for ensuring our business operations, procedures and policies comply with legal regulations, internal policies, and ethical standards, in particular AML, ABC, modern slavery, sanctions and GDPR compliance. And you will oversee client and supplier KYC onboarding processes.
There will be a wide range of duties to perform including evaluating all current and new compliance regulations, reviewing company policies, and leading training sessions for TOG employees
You will report to the Principal Legal Counsel and will provide wider support to the company's legal and compliance function.
Alongside excellent stakeholder management skills you will be a Master of Communication and an excellent collaborator - partnering with in house and external legal teams.
What you can expect as our Compliance Manager
- Develop, update and implement the company's compliance policies and regulations.
- Advise business operations relating to compliance and policy.
- Design and monitor control systems to deal with compliance and violations of legal rules and internal policies.
- Regularly assess the efficiency of compliance systems and recommend effective improvements.
- Review and evaluate company procedures and reports to identify hidden risks or common issues.
- Coordinate directly with different department managers to review and develop departmental compliance policies.
- Perform periodic audits on company procedures and processes.
- Lead employee training sessions on legal and compliance issues.
- Supervise junior compliance officers and team
We'd love to hear from you if you've got
- Bachelor's degree in law, business administration, or a relevant field from a recognised tertiary institution
- Over 6 years' experience as a compliance officer, compliance manager, or similar position in a recognised organisation.
- In-depth knowledge of industry and legal processes and regulations.
- Ability to use and recommend resources to stay on top of current developments in compliance requirements.
- Ability to understand the company's commercial drivers and provide well-structured advice within this context.
- Stakeholder management and presentation Skills
- Excellent understanding of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Working with other head office teams to develop efficient compliance and onboarding solutions.
- Mentoring and leading junior compliance officers' development.
