Our Client is a trusted partner of the UK Ministry of Defence and are seeking an experienced Configuration Management professional to join their team. In this role, you will provide technical support to the Configuration Management team. Additionally, you will be responsible for building solid relationships with stakeholders to facilitate the development, review, and implementation of processes and procedures.

Your configuration management expertise is critical to ensuring the quality of our client's products. As a CM expert, you'll provide technical guidance and support to project managers, contributing to overall program success and delivering excellence in technical solutions.

What we're looking for:

  • Demonstrate experience in engineering or operations with a technical understanding of product lifecycle and delivery milestones.
  • Experience in Configuration Management is required, focusing on the Aerospace or Defence industry.
  • Please provide instances of your experience overseeing Configuration Management activities for engineering programs.
  • To ensure control of product data across multiple projects, this role requires the ability to problem-solve, define best practices, and build effective Configuration Management throughout development and production phases.
  • The proficiency to satisfy and approve external standards through healthy and efficient business processes.
  • Tools: Windchill, PLM, and other PTC Toolsets, and JIRA

What you'll get to do as a Configuration Manager:

  • Perform transversely across multiple business projects to ensure a uniform and comprehensive CM (Configuration Management) strategy.
  • Understand individual project status and junctures before coaching required technical practice to support CM deliverables.
  • Before supporting the expression and embedding of specific business CM processes within the project, attain a strong understanding of them.
  • Enhance the knowledge and skills of the Configuration Management team by providing them with more comprehensive and in-depth training.
  • Collaborate with CM Group Lead and team, offering advice and direction.
