Our client is currently seeking Controls Engineer who will support the Royston site in completing an alarms rationalisation programme to meet EEMUA 191 requirements. The role will focus on Alarm Management, this is an EHS Critical task, supporting alarm management, prioritisation, and reduction of nuisance alarms at the COMAH facility.
Duties -
- Implement Alarm management for the sites, in line with EEMUA 191.
- Identify and facilitate remedial work on nuisance alarms.
- Chair alarm rationalisation meetings with site operational team.
- Roll out company alarm management standard and software.
experience and skills required-
Engineering degree, HNC, or equivalent in Electrical, Control or Instrumentation
5+ years of industrial work experience ideally within a chemical industry.
Demonstrated ability to program PLC (Allen Bradley, Omron)
Experience with Alarm Management
Experience with SCADA packages. JM preferred is Wonderware
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Instrumentation & Process Control
