Job purpose
The Graduate role reports to the Head of Market Access and Corporate Affairs. With responsibilities split 50/50 across communications and government affairs within Sandoz UK, this varied role involves collaboration across Sandoz UK teams and with the branded pharmaceuticals division of Novartis.
Job accountabilities
As a member of the Corporate Affairs team, you will play an active role in key strategic projects across government affairs, external and internal communications. Internally we strive to support our family culture at Sandoz, share timely updates and empower associates to deliver on our company strategy. Externally we aim to establish Sandoz as a leading partner with our key stakeholders through stakeholder engagement, lobbying and supporting our company reputation. Responsibilities for this role include:
- Working with Head of Market Access and Corporate Affairs and Corporate Affairs Executive to map and track project milestones;
- Leading on projects with increasing responsibility as your capability develops;
- Planning and drafting content for the Sandoz UK newsletter and office brightsigns
- Supporting the Corporate Affairs Executive with projects, such as re-designing the corporate website and exploring the use of social media;
- Working with public relations and lobbying agencies on campaigns and projects;
- Working with political stakeholders, patient organisations and other key stakeholders on key strategic projects
- Following all internal processes for administrative activities e.g. setting up vendors and purchase orders and have materials approved;
- Meeting administration and diary management;
- Having a working knowledge of Sandoz compliance processes and working with the compliance team to ensure all activities and materials are compliant using two internal systems
- Collaborating with communications and government affairs teams within UK Novartis divisions to support cross-divisional initiatives;
- Find and interpret NHS data, health policy and political developments to inform leadership
We are looking for a talented individual
- Someone with a positive, can-do attitude who is proactive, open to receiving feedback and ambitious for personal growth
- Can demonstrate organisational and communication skills, with good attention to detail
- Is interested in exploring a career in communications, government or public affairs
- Has a degree in Life Sciences, Business Studies, Politics, Economics, English, Communications or Marketing.
