My client, a well renowned organisation is urgently seeking a Director of Finance on an interim basis.
The post holder will be required to develop and implement a sustainable financial strategy for the Council.
- To provide clear strategic financial advice to Elected Members, senior leaders and managers in the Council.
- To support the Chief Executive in delivering an operational strategy that meets the future needs of the City, working in collaboration with external agencies and partners to achieve an inclusive economy and a vibrant community in which opportunity and success is shared.
- To work collaboratively with peers on all strategic matters in relation to the corporate plan outcomes to deliver the strategy, encouraging a collaborative organisational culture focused upon improvement and high performance.
- To lead a diverse range of services to achieve successful outcomes for the City and the Council, inspiring others to give of their best.
- To act as the Council's Chief Financial (Section 151) Officer under the Local Government Act 1972, delivering specific statutory responsibilities, in particular ensuring sound financial management of the Council's affairs.
