To maintain all manufacturing equipment (process and service) to support the compliant manufacture of bulk pharmaceuticals, intermediates and other chemical products. To ensure that maintenance tasks are executed in compliance with the technical, safety, health & environmental and operational quality requirements of the manufacturing processes and services. To ensure these tasks are completed in line with the manufacturing schedule and demands.

Duties-

  • To carry out installation, maintenance (breakdown and planned) and calibration of all instrumentation and electrical systems and associated equipment.
  • To maintain all process and service equipment to support manufacturing activities.
  • To install, maintain and inspect all types of hazardous area instrument and electrical systems associated with process plant.
  • To maintain safety equipment in line with SHE requirements.
  • To work collaboratively across and with all Engineering disciplines to ensure effective and timely completion of the maintenance tasks.
  • To work closely and collaboratively with the Manufacturing Department to ensure effective and timely completion of the maintenance tasks to meet the manufacturing demands.
  • To recognise and report any equipment defects which may impact on safe operation and/or process compliance. To notify the Team Leader, Process Manager or of any such defects. Ensure any such changes are correctly recorded along with any corrective action details.
  • To maintain good housekeeping standards throughout all Engineering and Manufacturing areas where maintenance duties are being executed.
  • To provide engineering support for any plant changeover or commissioning activity.
  • To undertake training as required by the company to ensure consistency of working practices and quality standards.
  • To support manufacturing personnel as required in the use of basic 4 bolt engineering skills to facilitate plant operations, cleaning and product changeovers.
  • To proactively use the Permit to Work systems in collaboration with area personnel.
  • To use engineering maintenance system to identify and record engineering issues.
  • To carry out any other duties which are within the employee's skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed
