What is the role?

Northumberland Children's Centres offer a one-stop shop for Children and their families and it is a vital part of our work. As an Early Years Practitioner, you will be working in our Northumberland Central Locality Cluster which covers Ashington, Bedlington, Choppington, Morpeth, Lynemouth, Pegswood and Newbiggin communities.

As part of the role you will work within a team to provide stimulating play opportunities to young children and their families to enhance their social, emotional and physical development. You will be instrumental in promoting Children's Centre services across the community, in partnership with other agencies to ensure services are accessible to all. You will have an understanding of confidentiality and will hold the child at the centre of everything you do.

What you will need?

  • Experience of working with young children and their families.
  • NVQ level 3 in Childcare and Education or the willingness to work towards the qualification
  • Positive and approachable manner
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Driver and have access to your own car
