ENS QA Engineer
Job Summary
This exciting role is to join the Quality Assurance department working on the BIOMASS satellite, an Earth Navigation and Science project.
As part of a team you will ensure that requirements are being met during the manufacturing, assembly, integration and test phases of the Spacecraft.
Job Profile
The QA engineer is fully empowered to manage all aspects of quality within the Spacecraft Production department -
* Define the surveillance plan.
* Manage Non-Conformance.
* Collate build reconciliations and open points (e.g. open work orders).
* Chair Spacecraft Production gate reviews (Manufacturing Readiness Review, Integration Readiness Review).
* Perform critical hardware inspections and witness critical operational activities.
* Ensure open actions from critical inspections are managed and tracked during all production phases.
* Manage preventative actions.
* Carry out audits.
* Deploy Improvement Initiatives.
* Perform risk analysis.
* Lead and influence prevention and quality mind set.
Skills/Experience Required
* At least 3 years Quality experience within the Aerospace or similar Engineering sector.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills with an ability to analyse and assess complex issues.
* Good understanding of Quality Assurance and Product Assurance methods
* Good analytical skills and methodical approach to problem resolution and investigation.
* Willingness to work on shift, on-call or off-site when required
* Adept in using problem solving tools such as - 8D, 5WHYs, Ishikawa
Education & Training
Engineering degree in relevant field
Knowledge of Space Quality standard (e.g. ECSS)

It is possible that the role will go to shift work sometime in the near future
Overseas travel is also possible during test phase planned for 2022
The successful candidate will be required to apply for and receive a DBS certificate prior to commencement of the contract.
