Guidant Global is collaborating with a trusted partner of the UK's Ministry of Defence, who is also one of our clients. We are seeking a skilled Electrical Calibration Operator to perform routine calibration of Special To Type Test Equipment (STTE) and Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS) equipment. This is an excellent full-time position on-site, with the potential for extension or permanent employment.

What we're looking for:

  • Develop clear and comprehensive calibration & maintenance records.
  • Experience in calibrating COTS/Special to Type Test Equipment
  • Knowledge in calibrating electrical equipment such as Power Supplies, Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Function Generators, etc.
  • Understanding In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment
  • Capable of following the manufacturer's instructions, and an excellent understanding of SAP would be desirable.
  • Time-served Apprenticeship/modern apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 (highly essential) or City & Guilds part 2 & 3/ONC/HNC in Electronics
  • Experience working on Environmental Stress Screening Facilities (ESS) is desirable.

What you'll get to do as an Electrical Calibration and Maintenance Operator:

  • Performing in a multi-disciplined team to support the Operations team.
  • Initial calibration, routine calibration and maintenance of test and measurement equipment.
  • Assure that factory and proprietary test and measuring equipment is kept in line with current procedures.
  • Carry out calibration and repair tasks following departmental processes and procedures.
  • Generating clear and exhaustive calibration/maintenance records for traceability purposes.
