In IR35 £17.80 - £18.82/hourly PAYE; £23.49 up to £25.39/hourly (Umbrella)

37 hours; FT (Onsite)

The UK's trusted Ministry of Defence partner, MBDA, are looking for an Electrical Test Operator to be an asset of the business in Bolton to test duties, complete record-keeping and comply with the manufacturing process.

The Electrical Test Operator's responsibilities include following product certification procedures, defining workmanship standards, and allocating budgets and timescales.

What we're looking for:

  • Completion of formal technical engineering/craft apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21/ONC.
  • Standard further education certificate to HNC or equivalent Certification.
  • Significant electrical test experience
  • Manual handling training: Lifting & Slinging training (Including overhead cranes).
  • Excellent planning, organisational and adaptable skills.
  • ESD training.

What you'll get to do as an Electrical Test Operator:

  • Certify the product in line with the Product Certification procedure.
  • Sustain product certification and approval via regular audits.
  • Maintain a versatile skill base with the capability to apply these skills across a range of tasks and maintain the highest level, workmanship standards and product quality.
  • Set up testing procedures, including the need for periodic recalibration of test equipment.
  • Implement tests on electronic equipment following test instructions, using specified test equipment.
  • Carry through simple fault-finding procedures on electronic equipment.
  • Check and complete all paperwork associated with the manufacturing data pack.
