The UK's trusted Ministry of Defence partner, MBDA, are looking for an Electrical Test Operator to be an asset of the business in Bolton to test duties, complete record-keeping and comply with the manufacturing process.

The Electrical Test Operator's responsibilities include following product certification procedures, defining workmanship standards, and allocating budgets and timescales.

What we're looking for:

  • Completion of formal technical engineering/craft apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21/ONC.
  • Standard further education certificate to HNC or equivalent Certification.
  • Significant electrical test experience required
  • Manual handling /ESD training: Lifting & Slinging training (Including overhead cranes).
  • Excellent planning, organisational and adaptable skills.
  • No colour blindness

What you'll get to do as an Electrical Test Operator:

  • Ensure that the product is certified according to the Product Certification procedure and maintain its certification and approval through regular audits.
  • Diverse set of skills that can be applied to different tasks.
  • Perform the necessary setup procedures required for testing. This includes being conscious of the requirement for regular recalibration of testing equipment. Follow the instructions provided for testing electronic equipment and utilise the designated testing equipment.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting on electronic devices.
  • Ensure that test records are kept, and faults are reported for rectification. Additionally, it is essential to ensure that manufacturing test times are met.
  • Maintain the highest level of workmanship standards and product quality.
  • Ensure that you abide by all the relevant procedures related to the manufacturing process.
  • Share the best practices with other members of the team.
