Electronic Engineering Technician

37 hours; FT Hybrid (80% Onsite)

The UK's trusted Ministry of Defence partner, MBDA, are looking for an experienced Electronic Engineering Technician to work as an engineering team member carrying out a range of technical activities under guidance in line with all relevant process, quality, and other requirements.

What we're looking for:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electronic & Electrical Engineering
  • 2+ Years prior work experience in a similar role (hands-on lab/shop floor role). *Essential
  • HNC/HND in Electronic & Electrical Engineering
  • Preparation to demonstrate, describe and provide knowledge in:
  1. Setting up and using various lab equipment (e.g., Oscilloscope, Signal Generator, Network Analyser, Spectrum Analyser)
  2. Provide examples of complex electronic equipment utilised and tests/checks performed.
  3. Share examples of working in a regulated industry under rigorous change control processes and processing documentation requiring multiple stakeholders' approval and authorisation.

What you'll get to do as an Electronic Engineering Technician :

  • Inspection and verification of engineering work and manufactured equipment against defined standards and specifications
  • Carry out various tests and technical investigations across multiple products to ensure they meet agreed specifications.
  • Compile associated test and verification reports.
  • Provide data for problem assessment and design of improvements
  • Provide support in resolving problems and issues and, where appropriate, capture non-compliances using established standards and tools.
  • Interface with customers concerning standard issues, including resolving straightforward queries and problems, logging and actioning all items
