Our client, a trusted partner of the UK Ministry of Defence, is seeking an experienced Embedded C++ Software Engineer to join their team in Bristol. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering and maintaining software for one of the client's key products, which is currently in its maintenance phase. Your work will focus on incremental deliveries aimed at enhancing product improvements, robustness, and future upgrades.

What we're looking for:

  • Proven track record in developing complex embedded software using C/C++ helpful (Knowledge of ADA & Python is useful)
  • Proficient skills in model-based development, using UML or using tools such as IBM's Rhapsody.
  • UML expertise, preferably experienced in using Rhapsody.
  • Good problem-solving capability to investigate technical, software/hardware issues
  • A focus on code quality and the ability to engage in code and design reviews.
  • Development of maintainable and extensible code (to adapt to change in requirements etc.)
  • Able to communicate and collaborate effectively with multiple customers, including Systems Engineering, Electronics and Electrical, and Test and Validation

What you'll get to do as an Embedded C++ Software Engineer:

The software, develop with Ada and Rhapsody, requires someone to architect, design, implement, and test missile subsystem software. The successful candidate will work within a small team, gaining extensive visibility across the entire product.
