The role
The AB56 Futures service supports the ELCC expansion programme and will focus on parent returners to the workforce and young people who have faced considerable disadvantage and who may face a range of issues/barriers affecting their ability to maintain and sustain employment. AB56 Futures provides a tailored family support service which includes support for parent returners to the labour market and provides participants with a comprehensive 6 week in-house training programme and the opportunity to gain SVQII in child care with a view to joining the ELCC workforce. Each person is assigned a dedicated key worker to support them through the duration of the programme.
We are looking for an Employment Facilitator to work 3 days a week (days will be discussed at interview stage) based at our Buckie service but who will cover the whole of the Moray area.
You will make a difference by:
- Recruiting participants onto programmes, ensuing equality of opportunity through this process.
- Undertaking assessment of each participant prior to the programme commencing to identify any issues/barriers they may face and how we can support them through the programme. Complete all relevant risk assessments and paperwork required for submitting claims.
- Monitoring participant progress at set intervals throughout the programme, putting in additional support where required.
- Delivering induction, compliance and VQ qualifications including employability and personal development as part of the various programmes in our portfolio.
- Organising devising and planning programmes content in conjunction with Training and external training providers where required.
- Accessing relevant training and employment opportunities for young people.
You will need:
- SVQ3 in a relevant qualification.
- Experience of working in employability sector.
- Experience of facilitating group sessions with people facing multiple barriers.
- Knowledge and understanding of the issues and barriers for young people and parent returners to employment.
- Driving license and access to a car is desirable.
