As part of the Enablement team, you'll support the delivery of safe, efficient, and innovative production processes. Your work will directly contribute to ensuring teams on the shop floor have the tools, materials, and support they need to succeed.
What you'll be doing
You'll play a hands‑on, varied role across operations, with responsibilities including:
Operational & Technical Support
- Liaising with Engineering and Design teams to help resolve production‑blocking issues.
- Coordinating consumables, tools, and equipment to ensure availability and compliance.
- Acting as a key interface between Operations and the Tool Control Centre, including calibration processes.
- Supporting Capital Expenditure (Capex) projects and site‑wide facility improvements.
Continuous Improvement & Lean Support
- Identifying improvement opportunities and supporting the rollout of new processes.
- Maintaining and contributing to Lean systems, visual management, and 5C/housekeeping standards.
- Supporting safety compliance across Health, Safety, and Environmental considerations.
Data, Reporting & Relationships
- Providing financial analysis, reporting, and cost‑control support.
- Building strong relationships with internal partners such as Facilities & Services.
- Helping plan workloads within a collaborative, fast‑paced team.

Essential experience & skills
- Hands‑on experience with tooling (manufacturing, engineering, or production environment).
- Comfortable using PC‑based systems; SAP experience is a bonus.
- Understanding of Lean principles and continuous improvement.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot, think creatively, and bring forward improvement ideas.
Desirable
- Experience with aircraft assembly tooling or related industries.
- Exposure to project support or project officer roles.

Role details
- Location: Broughton (onsite)
- Hours: 35 per week (4.5‑day week; flexible hours between 7am-7pm)
- Clearance: BPSS+ (arranged by Airbus)
- Travel: Not required
- Pay: £23.08 per hour PAYE / £30.88 per hour Umbrella
