Facilities Project Manager
Description of the job
You will be responsible for two significant projects within the Airbus perimeter. These being:
- People Safety at Work; an initiative launched to improve the environment, working practices and governance of safety.
- A380 Sunset; an initiative to review the future use of A380 facilities and the associated actions to manage the close down of the programme
This role is based at Broughton but with a requirement to support Filton site. It is anticipated this is approximately a 70/30 split between Broughton and Filton.
Tasks
People Safety at Work:
- Ensure collation of a 3 year CAPEX investment plan for People Safety at work at Filton and Broughton. Ensuring robust cases are created with plans in place to secure the delivery of these projects with multimillion investments.
- Improve the associated reporting within FM to give greater visibility of safety related issues and status
- Support the initiative to increase the level of engagement and interaction with the sub contract community
- Support any associated activities launched through the project
- Report to site senior leadership of the status and actions. Deliver the accountable reporting.
A380 Sunset:
- Drive the future use of the building and the associated master plan to optimise the building
- Support the associated close down activity in line with production milestones
- Lead any associated projects at site level related to the activity including interface with projects, space management and other actors
- Lead key elements from a facilities perspective including energy optimisation, future asset management etc.
- Report to site senior leadership of the status and actions. Deliver the accountable reporting.
Skills
The successful candidate will:
- Be an experienced leader with excellent stakeholder management skills
- Be a master of programme management (i.e. multi-project schedule, risk, quality & cost mgt)
- Demonstrate a customer driven mind set of understanding the business needs within an operations environment
- Have excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to challenge senior leaders within the organisation
- Previous experience of working within Airbus or an operational environment
- Excellent strategic and operational leadership skills with a strong background of managing / interfacing with large teams delivering facilities management and services
- Proven experience in strong customer relationship management
- Fluent English language skills, other languages would be an advantage
You would be expected to work a 35 hour week at an hourly rate of £28.00 Ltd Company or £21.49 PAYE. The contract is initially to the end of 2019 with a strong likelihood it will be extended in to 2020.
