Our client, a trusted UK Ministry of Defence partner, are seeking an experienced First Article Inspection Engineer. The engineer's primary responsibility is to conduct First Article Inspection (FAI) activities as part of the delivery of the Industrial Validation plans. This will ensure that manufacturing and related processes are applied across all projects. Additionally, the engineer will help review supplier FAIs to ensure they meet the requirements.
As a First Article Inspection Engineer, you can work on various critical topics within the manufacturing environment. This role offers a chance to significantly contribute to product safety, continual improvement, and our business reputation.
What we're looking for:
- Qualified to minimum HNC/HND in relevant subject ideally.
- Experience in quality auditing and compiling FAI reports is required.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of EN/AS9100 and EN/AS9102.
- Skilled in identifying and implementing sustainable business improvements effectively with strong interpersonal abilities.
- Identify and meet customer needs, both internal and external.
- Effective planning and organisation skills to prioritize and monitor multiple tasks to achieve objectives.
What you'll get to do as a First Article Inspection Engineer:
This is a job posting for a Subject Matter Expert, who must possess excellent technical expertise and attention to detail. The role requires the preparation of First Article Inspections by analysing the manufacturing data pack, creating reports, identifying non-conformities, improving the FAI process, and providing technical and process support to manufacturing. The candidate will also need to review Supplier FAIRs, collaborate with industrial manufacturing engineers to resolve issues, and release parts for production.
