The inspector will be undertaking food safety inspections and revisits (where necessary). Their work will be undertaken in the businesses around the city that require inspecting. They are not required to be based in an office. They need to be a fully qualified EHO experienced in food safety inspections, or a fully qualified Food Safety Officer with a higher certificate in food premises inspections, but again, experienced undertaking food safety inspections. They should also have a good understanding regarding allergen controls.
