FPGA Design Engineer
Do you have electrical and electronic engineering experience, and are you seeking a new job in Farnborough. Guidant Global is helping an aerospace company find an FPGA Design Engineer, and the role comes with an hourly rate of £52.35 PAYE or £70.00 Umbrella.
In this avionics engineer role, you will focus on the design, development and testing of FPGAs in Zephyr Avionics subsystems, to maximise the potential of persistent flight operations in the stratosphere.
Working with the Lead Avionics Engineer you will be responsible for requirements specifications of FPGAs for Avionics subsystems, along with the following:
· Full-lifecycle development of new and existing FPGA designs in VHDL
· Definition of procedures for integration, test, and manufacture
· Electronic component selection in accordance with requirements
· Qualification and traceability against requirements and investigation and test of Avionics subsystems.
To apply for this FPGA Design Engineer role, you will need experience working in a highly regulated industry such as aerospace, medical devices, rail transport, or oil & gas. You will also require the following:
· A track record of design, development and delivery of FPGA designs (ideally ProAsic) and testbenches in VHDL
· Experience using FPGAs design tools for design capture, simulation and synthesis
· Knowledge of communication theory and methods
· Ability to deliver to defined timescales, requirements and budgets.
