Guidant Global is collaborating with MBDA, a trusted partner of the UK's Ministry of Defence, to hire a proficient General Operator. The role entails performing various manufacturing and self-certification tasks within the deployed business, adhering to product certification procedures, workmanship standards, allocated budgets, and timelines to achieve project goals.

The role of the General Operator requires the individual to support the smooth functioning of work and information flow within the manufacturing area. They must follow established standards and behaviour protocols in all their actions.

  • Dexterity for fine work.
  • Read and interpret layouts
  • Willing to work flexible shift patterns.
  • Ensuring meticulous attention to detail and adhering to instructions are key
  • Take initiative and excel with minimal guidance.
  • PC literate.

What you'll get to do as an Operator General (FA):

  • Perform meticulous assembly and manufacturing tasks following established procedures, quality standards, safety regulations, and deadlines.
  • Execute precise assembly and manufacturing duties strictly adhering to prescribed protocols, excellence benchmarks, safety policies, and timelines.
  • It is imperative that all activities adhere strictly to the set standards and behaviours.
  • Adhering to all health and safety regulations is crucial.
  • IPC 610 certified / trained preferred.

Tentatively work across several departments, these might include:

  1. Looming (wiring, root wiring, and fibre optics cabling)
  2. PEC (Printed Electronic Component) Assembly and Plastics Department highly essential (examples, applying glues, cutting out intricate patterns, and moulding and standard printing equipment, including screen printing, flexography, gravure, offset lithography, and inkjet, by defining patterns on the material.).
  3. Manufacturing Control/ Stores (Kitting, SAP, Picking goods inwards).
