Guidant Global is working with the UK's trusted Ministry of Defence partner, MBDA, seeking a skilled Goods Inwards Inspector to ensure that goods received from suppliers meet the criteria of the purchase order and are compliant in all respects at the Bolton site.

What we're looking for:

  • Formal technical engineering/Craft Apprenticeship Copy of Certificate* to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21 or HNC. (*Essential)
  • Formal further education certificate to HNC or equivalent certificate.
  • Manual handling training. ESD training.
  • SAP literate is desirable.
  • Must have inspection experience in a goods in environment (*Essential).
  • Stores experience highly required (mechanical inspector irrelevant)

What you'll get to do as a Goods Inwards Inspector:

  • Verify and accept the procured product in line with contractual conditions.
  • Practised in reading and understanding assembly drawings with due regard to dimensional tolerances and machined.
  • Examining the finish of all parts to detect faulty finishing or painting, deterioration of surfaces etc. Undertaking first off inspections.
  • Produce relevant inspection/quality control documentation.
  • Control defect items via segregation from good products and ensure inspections times are met.
  • Raise and maintain relevant defect reports and maintain product verification approval process via regular audits.
  • Inspection of PCBs.
  • Ensure compliance with all associated procedures applicable to the manufacturing process.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of an orderly and safe working environment.
