We are looking to recruit a Housing & Legal Assistant.

You will be responsible for ensuring charging, release, substitution, and reporting processes are carried out and maintained by providing support around Hyde's property charging process, specifically around releasing equity from recently repaid loans, including preparation of legal documentation.
You will also provide regular reporting and updates regarding covenant compliance, Treasury data, and monthly disposals list along with Preparing Treasury and Securities Operations Chaps payments, daily banking, and manage and coordinate queries and ensure these are dealt with promptly.
Duties of a Housing & Legal Assistant:
- Determine what legal documentation may be required to charge a financial loan and ensure it is sourced either internally or from external parties such as Local Authorities and solicitors.
- Liaise with lawyers, ensuring they are on track with the legal charging processes and reporting any issues.
- Prepare the legal documentation required to charge a property, for example certificates of title, and check them for potential issues such as restrictive covenants, short leases, or incomplete information.
- Ensure any releases or new charges and valuations have been correctly implemented, documented and signed off on Northgate.
- Maintain a valuation register showing due dates of valuations and asset cover levels, ensuring they are correctly calculated and reported.
- Ensure that we obtain value for money and work in an efficient way by reducing the reliance on external advisors and bringing analysis in-house.

- Housing - Legal related experience
- Excellent communication skills adaptable to all levels
