Experienced HR Advisor, covering all aspects of HR.
37.5 hours per week, mon-fri within hours of 8.30 - 16:35
Working from site with some flexibility to work at home depending upon demands and the need for site presence.

  • To provide day-to-day operational HR support to the Clitheroe site, including proactive guidance and support in the use of all HR policies, procedures and processes in line with employment law
  • Provide support to the HR Manager in the day to day operations of the HR service on site, looking to continually improve the HR service and exceed stakeholder expectations
  • Reviewing and updating HR Policies and Procedures and supporting their use in the business through coaching, and advising on best practice, delivering consistency of practice. Consulting with unions and communicating amendments to site
  • Effective case management of people related issues such as attendance & absence management, flexible working, performance management, grievance & discipline, and other ER related issues. Provide support to line managers dealing with employee cases
  • Monitoring, analysing and managing HR data and statistics in relation to site KPIs/Group reporting, so that best practice and standards are recommended, developed and improved
  • Contribute towards the improvement of HR processes and HR services across the JM Group, contributing to projects as required, with a view to creating harmonised processes and policies, and driving best practice
  • Support employees with queries relating to pay and benefits procedures and support the annual pay review processes with the HR Manager
  • Support the HR Manager in the JCC meetings, participating in working parties and identifying/implementing initiatives to address site issues and enhance the working relationships with employees and the unions
  • Proactively support Employee Engagement activities on site to gauge employee satisfaction, identify trends and take steps to make improvements
  • Actively review and update HR systems to ensure accurate recording, monitoring and reporting of HR people data in line with current legislation
  • Support resourcing activities, such as recruitment, succession planning and talent management, and maintain related documents such as organisational charts, so that accurate forecasting, budgeting and monitoring of people resources can be maintained
  • Provide an efficient and effective HR administration service by producing, developing & improving HR documents, letters, templates and forms whilst complying with current legislation and information retention requirements
  • Support the wider HR function including learning & development, payroll, STEM, welfare and community activities as required
  • To carry out any other duties which are within the employee's skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.
