12 Month Fixed Term contract
3 days in the office and 2 days working from home

You will work within an experienced team and receive mentoring from senior HR professionals. Through your hands-on work you will gain knowledge and invaluable experience to develop your core skills within areas such as employee relations, HR project management, people partnering or to support the local implementation of programs from our global centres of excellence.

Job Purpose

  • Support P&O initiatives by providing project management and logisticalsupporttoagreedtimelines, scope and objectives for projects and processes in support of the P&OHeadandHRBPs. As examples this could include:
    • Supporting activities for culture evolution (e.g., encouraging take up of the employee survey and analysing/ sharing results and organising initiatives which drive cultural change, and foster wellness, diversity and inclusion)
    • Reviewing HR policies and writing guidelines e.g., to support smooth running of work experience placements
    • Identifying opportunities to streamline P&O processes
    • Providing analytical support to feed into P&O plans by tracking data, preparing reports etc
    • Coordinating arrangements for leadership events (logistics, itineraries, agenda, speakers etc.)
    • Supporting HRBPs in preparing for talent review (arranging meetings and preparing data, analysing skill gaps and development opportunities within client group, becoming a team 'expert' on use of certain tools, activities and processes)
    • Shadowing and supporting the People Partner team to deliver when required

  • Budget Management:
    • Vendor management
    • Raising purchase orders, goods receipting
    • Financial reconciliations and tracking spend​

  • Provide team administrative support, for example:
    • Co-ordination of team meetings and logistics for ongoing department activities
    • Maintaining records on behalf of the team and keeping documentation for team use
    • Being a champion for internal P&O communications (Must be able to deal with HR-sensitive issues appropriately)
    • Any other HR related activity as required by the P&O Head

We are looking for an individual who can meet the following criteria:

  • Recent bachelor's degree in business or HR related study field
  • Relevant work experience or extracurricular activities obtained next to your studies
  • Clear motivation and ambition to gain HR experience in a commercial environment
  • You will be able to evidence skills transferrable to the business environment (e.g., good time management, teamwork) experience of successfully working with teams through work, academic and/or extracurricular activities
  • You will be able to demonstrate
  • Proactivity - ability to work independently and proactively under own initiative, taking responsibility and driving projects and activities to a successful conclusion
  • Analytical thinking - but also able to act quickly and decisively as needed
  • Prioritisation - manages multiple priorities well, demonstrating good attention to detail under tight deadlines and the ability to prioritise effectively
  • Collaboration & teamwork - can develop effective relationships with team and customers, gaining trust and credibility quickly. Has the confidence to work senior managers and as an effective member of a cross-functional team
  • Customer focused - delivering high quality projects and activities to internal and external groups with awareness and responsiveness to their needs
  • Excellent communication. Can communicate complex data to a wide range of professional and lay audiences, adapting their wording and style to suit
  • Fluency in English - verbal and written - is required and any other European language would be an asset
  • You will be IT savvy and highly proficient with Microsoft office Outlook, Excel, PPT skills and Word at Advanced Level)
  • You must demonstrate good judgement and discretion and be able to manage sensitive and confidential situations and documentation appropriately.

Additional Information

Please ensure that you are willing and able to live within commutable distance of the company site before applying. This Graduate placement is based in White City in London and whilst we support hybrid working, we would expect the intern to be in the office at least 3 days per week. You will need to be eligible to work in the UK.
