Guidant Global is working with the UK's trusted Ministry of Defence partner, MBDA, seeking an experienced Industrial Validation Engineer (Supplied Equipment) to monitor and validate the development of manufacturing systems at" Major Equipment" Suppliers up to successful Validation of Manufacturing System (VMS) based at the Stevenage site.

As an Industrial Validation Engineer (Supplied Equipment), you'll ensure sustained product delivery and quality during series production.

We pursue an organised and diligent Quality biased professional with solid knowledge of manufacturing processes and techniques.

With highly competent in project management and change management whose also an expert in Supplier Quality Assurance and Validation practices in development to production Procurement environments. Additionally, a candidate capable of supporting suppliers to ensure that they develop robust manufacturing systems and control plans deliver on-time / on-quality and on-cost in series production. This encompasses:

  • Managing Industrial Validation activities such as Process FMEAs, Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) assessments, Production Readiness Reviews
  • Identifying potential industrial risks and putting in place associated improvement and mitigation plans. Manage risks to closure. Escalate critical risks using the company Risk tool.
  • Collaborative working across functions to monitor, evaluate and report on the development and validation of Supplier manufacturing systems; to track progress against Supplier industrial plans; and maintain Industrial Dashboards.
  • Root Cause Analysis (8D's A3's, Fishbone)
  • Ensuring the development and implementation of Supplier Manufacturing Inspection and Test architectures and processes in line with agreed Supplier manufacturing plans.
  • Facilitating operational involvement of suppliers during development to promote co-specification methodologies across projects.

This role also forms part of the multi-functional team managing development and delivery of the Procurement & Supply chain elements of new product introduction, requiring close working with Design, Manufacturing and Quality organisations.

What we're looking for:

  • An organised and diligent Quality Engineering biased individual with strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and techniques
  • Experience in Supplier Quality Assurance and Validation practices in development to production procurement environment.
  • HND qualified (minimum) or equivalent, plus relevant, and recent project or industrial experience.
  • Excellent influencing and problem-solving skills
  • Strong relationship management and autonomous working
