Innovation Team Member

This is an exciting opportunity to work within the client mission team and make a real difference to a key IT transformation. The team are currently growing their capability in data science within the analyst community, we have got to the point where ongoing support is required to assist the analysts on this journey. To respond to this challenge, we are growing a team to own and deliver the mission's innovation & capability development projects; leveraging technology to maximise our mission impact.

This vital lead role will shape how the Innovation Enabling team productionise analyst -developed capability and interface with the wider engineering teams supporting stakeholders; ensuring that effective and sustainable capability is being delivered in coherence with software best practice.
They will also play a role in supporting effective innovation lifecycles and governance processes, in concert with the adjacent teams, to ensure prototypes are being brought through the innovation cycle at the right time.

Previous experience could include:
* Working with users to understand their requirements.
* Employing statistical data analysis methods and/or machine learning techniques. Including:
o Choosing the best methods appropriate to the data.
o Innovating around established methods and new methods.
o Maintaining an awareness of new advances in the field.
* Design, code, test, correct and document programs and scripts.
* Development of algorithms with an eye to scalability and sustainability.
