The UK's trusted Ministry of Defence partner, MBDA, is looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to support and deliver MBDA's growing Manufacturing business is increasing rapidly. IS industrial UK (part of the larger Information Systems team) being an identified growth area. A new UK resource is required to deliver the demand from our Factory of the Future and Industry 4.0 initiatives.

As an IT Project Manager the responsibilities include application solutions in the industrial domain and the integration of Manufacturing equipment with IT systems and specific hardware (OT/IoT). The task has resulted in numerous new activities that break new ground, including IT security / Cyber security initiatives.

What you'll get to do as an IT Project Manager:

The role will require the individual to manage projects but go that little further and, in some cases, build the project scope, gain 'buy-in' and deliver the finished solution. The successful candidate will undertake Project Management, Business Analysis, and support activities whilst taking the opportunity to develop their skills.

  • Collaborate with senior customers and end-users to analyse the needs of all MBDA business units (Technical, Production and Support).
  • Manage UK, and international industrial IS projects concerning cost, schedule, and quality.
  • Provide timely reports to project steering committees and control boards.
  • Manage and coordinate the internal and external stakeholders, suppliers and vendors involved in the project.
  • Build a project from concept, through business case, to execution.
  • Some Coordination of BAU activities.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience in a Project Management role in IT.
  • Good communication and motivational skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships and work collaboratively across various organisational levels.
  • Experience within an engineering/manufacturing environment would be beneficial
  • Cognition of IT technologies & methodologies would also be beneficial
  • You must be a UK national or citizen and resided in the U.K. for at least five years to be eligible for the role (SC clearance requirement)
