We're currently seeking a number of experienced and ambitious Kubernetes Engineers to work with our exceptional client, a world class brand in a secure environment to support major challenging and highly rewarding projects across this complex organisation.

These contract roles will require you to hold security clearance prior to assignment. Opportunities are available in Gloucestershire.

These Kubernetes Engineer roles are conducted in an environment that is far from ordinary, therefore, we're not looking for ordinary. You'll have the potential to work effectively across a number of teams and a diverse range of projects within our technology community.

You will be a self starter and practical person who has knowledge of creating/design/installation of Kubernetes clusters, containers. You will be able to debug problematic configurations and systems under stress is vital.

This role is initially looking to healthcheck an existing system and then move to fix/modify or replace. You will report to the Infrastructure team lead with initial findings and recommendations. Due to critical importance of the current architecture, prioritization of issues and fixes are key. The role is largely a tech role but you will need to be a team player and collaboratorand who is happy to contribute knowledge and experience t the wider team.

Your experience:

  • Experience of debugging, supporting and installing enterprise wide Kubernetes clusters that are robust, maintainable, secure, supportable, scalable and have good performance
  • Workinging with Team Leads to ensure delivery of accurate project documentations and designs
  • Follow a fast, iterative development approach
  • Work collaboratively as part of the broader Infrastructure team, sharing ideas and experience wherever possible
  • Producing detailed technical design specifications and documentation
  • Experience in finding solutions to systems under stress
  • Experience (practical) of Kubernetes, Ceph, Docker, Harbor, Terraform and Linux VM's servers
  • Experience of various operating systems (Windows/Linux)
  • Build & Release management, with use of tools such as Maven, ANT, Ivy, puppet, ansible
  • And ideally…:
  • Puppet, Foreman, FreeIPA, pfSense, vCenter
  • Experience of Atlassian tool suite
