Maintenance Control Centre Engineer

Location: Brize Norton - Full Time Onsite

Shift Pattern: Straight days - 5 on, 5 off, 4 on (rotating), 06:30-19:00 (12.5 hours per shift)

Pay: £29.89 per hour (PAYE) / £40.00 per hour (Umbrella)

Security Clearance: BPSS+ and SC required (UK nationals only)

About the Role

Join our dynamic team as a Maintenance Control Centre Engineer, where you'll be at the heart of operations, ensuring the smooth running and rapid recovery of our deployed aircraft fleet. You'll act as the single point of contact for technical and scheduling advice, making empowered decisions and escalating issues to keep our operations moving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the central contact for fleet serviceability, providing technical guidance and scheduling support.
  • Monitor and report aircraft status at both company and customer levels, ensuring timely updates and clear communication.
  • Lead the recovery of Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations, collaborating with logistics, fleet tasking, availability management, and planning teams.
  • Track and manage operational and safety equipment lists, ensuring compliance with all limitations and restrictions.
  • Liaise with maintenance supervisors and coordinate manpower, spares, and facilities for routine and specialist maintenance tasks.
  • Escalate and resolve issues through established pathways, including conference calls and 'Tiger Team' meetings.
  • Support business continuity and incident response plans in the event of major disruptions.
  • Provide out-of-hours cover for event reporting, technical queries, and prioritisation of fleet tasks.
  • Maintain operational status briefings and ensure seamless handovers between shifts.
  • Deliver KPI data and operational priorities to senior leadership as required.
  • Continuously develop your skills in line with organisational and aircraft evolution.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in aircraft maintenance, ideally within a control centre environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing demands and lead teams effectively.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance scheduling and aircraft manuals.
  • Confident communicator, able to brief teams and stakeholders.
  • EASA PT.66 licence or equivalent experience and competence.
  • Proficiency with communication and information systems (e.g., SharePoint, Q-Pulse, MDS).
  • Knowledge of Airbus systems and platforms is highly advantageous.
  • Fluent (native) spoken and written English.
  • Military aviation experience is useful but not essential.
  • Must hold a UK passport or one from a country with an A400M export control licence, and meet UK security clearance requirements.
