The UK's trusted Ministry of Defence partner, MBDA, are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer (Assembly and Integration) to be at the heart of the business in Stevenage to manufacture and assemble missiles.

As a Manufacturing Engineer with previous experience, the successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring products under their workstream are produced efficiently and within budget.

What we're looking for:

  • Formal technical engineering/craft apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21 with a formal further education certificate to HNC or equivalent in a relevant subject.

"Or: A BEng degree in a relevant engineering field."

"Or: A minimum of twenty years of experience working as a manufacturing engineer."

  • Knowledge on analysing design drawings to produce manufacturing build instructions for skilled and semi-skilled operators.
  • Experience of Electronic Sub Assembly manufacture through to System level builds and experience and knowledge of the assembly process for small/miniature Electro-Mechanical Actuation Systems
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work in a diverse team and ability to read, analyse and interpret documents for accuracy and compliance with Code
  • Must be able to work within and contribute to a team environment.
  • Have Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) training, SAP experience

What you'll get to do as a Manufacturing Engineer (Assembly and Integration)

The candidate will be responsible for creating and updating manufacturing instructions, designing and validating tooling, resolving technical issues during the manufacturing process, making route card changes due to rework activities, managing configuration control, and utilizing SAP for the Non-Conformance Process. Additionally, the candidate will assist in the industrial validation process utilising tools such as FMEAs and FAIs.
