The UK's trusted Ministry of Defence partner, MBDA, are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Project Manager to support the Programme Managers and Manufacturing Management Team.

As a Manufacturing Project Manager, you'll develop strategic techniques across cost control and schedule adherence. With previous knowledge, you will play a vital role in managing stakeholder interfaces, including internal customers, and ensuring accurate progress reporting against all aspects of project performance.

What we're looking for:

  • Experienced Project Manager with a proven track record in delivering fixed cost programmes, of significant value, within a matrix organisation.
  • Experience within an engineering or production environment would be of preference.
  • Communicates effectively with the ability to build strong relationships, with experience in driving multi-functional teams and delivering to tight time scales.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and tenacious individual who prioritises and understands strategic business needs and manages day-to-day tactical decisions.
  • Experience in the application of Project Management skills at the assistant level in an appropriate business environment.
  • ESD training medical and no Health surveillance requirements

What you'll get to do as a Manufacturing Project Manager:

  • Planning, facilitating, and providing support to the success of large-scale contracts throughout the product life cycle.
  • Developing and maintaining key relationships with internal customers and key subcontractors.
  • Ensuring accurate progress reporting against all aspects of project performance and interpreting requirements back to manufacturing.
  • Assisting in preparing and maintaining contract risk and opportunity plans/budgets.
  • Communicating consolidated project/programme requirements to a multi-disciplined team to safeguard deliveries.
  • Playing a pivotal role in tendering/bidding activities associated with the successful acquisition of the future business.

MBDA's relationship with the UK military spans back over 70 years. They have delivered countless landmarks in defence engineering, supplying vital defence capability to meet the needs of the armed forces over land, sea, and air.

This role is based at MBDA's headquarters in Stevenage which plays a key part in missiles operations. The site also offers excellent transportation links and boasts an onsite gym and coffee shop. Training and development are offered to all employees.
