As part of our Future Talent Programme we have an opportunity for graduates with talent and ambition. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic graduate, capable of managing key projects and activities, to join our Regional Partnership Business Unit on a 12 month graduate internship.

All of our internships provide a fast paced, hands-on and fun business experience with plenty of learning opportunities. You will work closely with a Group Brand Manager to learn about how our commercial teams operate and to develop in-depth knowledge of your designated therapeutic area and our products. We will support you to apply the skills that you have gained during your degree and to develop new capabilities such as how to implement sales and marketing plans and how to collate business information and prepare for meetings. After your initial training is completed you will have the opportunity to lead and manage your own projects.

Our current interns tell us that they have experienced great development opportunities on-the-job, learning from others as members of experienced, high performing teams and through coaching from their managers. You will, of course, also have access to Novartis' extensive learning and development resources.

Responsibilities may include some or all of the following:

Providing a broad range of proactive administrative support to support the marketing / customer relations teams such as processing and monitoring of purchase orders, preparation of agreements and supporting the organisation of customer meetings and events

Becoming an internal specialist on activities within allocated therapy areas/ customers / channels including:

  • Development and delivery of specific projects that will achieve overall brand objectives and build KOL engagement, such as the organisation and management of congresses
  • Supporting Brand and Professional Relations Managers in developing marketing materials and campaign delivery
  • Managing marketing communications activities within the Therapy Areass, such as the stock-keeping, launch and recall of sales materials for field force, and updates where necessary
  • Providing analytical support to feed into KOL engagement plans, brand plans, sales planning and campaign tracking tools etc.
  • Co-ordination of team meetings, organisation of itineraries and logistics for ongoing department activities etc.
  • Being a champion for communications- ensuring structured communications and timely responses /support for the field team (KAMs)

To be successful you will currently have:

  • completed a life science or business degree
  • clear motivation and ambition to gain experience in a commercial environment
  • the ability to work independently and proactively on own initiative
  • strong communications skills (Fluency in English - verbal and written)
  • strong Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
  • skills transferable to the business environment (e.g. good time management, teamwork) experience of successfully working with teams through academic and/or extracurricular activities
  • ability to work with good attention to detail under tight deadlines
  • ability to develop effective relationships with team and customers, gaining trust and credibility quickly
  • confidence to work with senior managers

Relevant disciplines

GRADUATES only: life science or business degree, will consider a marketing degree if supported with an A-level (or equivalent) in a science.

All placements are located at White City, London. Whilst we are all currently home working please ensure that you are willing and able to live within commutable distance of the company site before applying.
