Outline
We are currently looking for a Mechanical Fitter / Technician that will be working as part of a team to build and integrate Satellite Payloads. The ideal candidate will be required to undertake the high quality manufacturing of communication satellite payloads.
Preferably you will have experience/ proven ability working to a very fine tolerance either from working in a clean room environment or high quality/ high value manufacturing areas.
You will require a flexible approach to work as you will be required to work shifts and be able to work at height and in a restricted space.
Main Role and Responsibilities
To perform mechanical integration activities:
- Equipment integration
- Waveguide integration
- Coax cable integration
- Structural component integration
- Use of basic hand tools (torque tools, screwdrivers, spanners, measurement tools)
- Basic engineering hand skills (filing, drilling, tapping, heli-coil installation)
Skills, Experience and Education
You will need an HNC/ HND/ Degree in engineering production or have completed an apprenticeship within aerospace/ space/ military or other high quality production fields.
Be familiar using measurement tools such as Vernier Calipers and Micrometers as well as using torque wrenches and will have some experience within either Aerospace, Space, Motor sport/ Automotive or Ex Military.
