The UK's trusted Ministry of Defence partner, MBDA, are looking for a Mechanical Inspector to be part of the certification team to authorise the product in line with the product certification procedure based at the Stevenage site.

What we're looking for:

  • Formal technical engineering/craft apprenticeship/TR23/TR21 or HNC.
  • Must demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving and commitment to work as part of a team to deliver the business.
  • Several years of experience as a skilled person.
  • IPC 610 certified / trained preferred

What you'll get to do as a Mechanical Inspector:

  • Examining for correct assembly and examining the finish of all parts to detect faulty finishing or painting, deterioration of surfaces etc.
  • Inspect for physical damage and intermediate inspection checks non product certification and maintain product certification and approval via regular audits
  • Monitor product certification operators and check and complete all paperwork associated with the manufacturing data pack and raise and maintain relevant data records/defect reports
  • Control defect items via segregation from good product
  • Produce relevant inspection/quality control documentation/history sheets and care for and use specialised inspection tools
  • Ensure compliance with all associated procedures applicable to the manufacturing process
  • Maintain to the highest level, workmanship standards and product quality
