Our client, a trusted partner of the UK's Ministry of Defence, is seeking an experienced Microfocus Dimensions Data Migration Engineer to join their team. The chosen candidate will be a part of a department that offers technical expertise and support to delivery departments. Additionally, the department assists in internal infrastructure, tooling, and DevSecOps.

What we're looking for:

  • In-depth knowledge of Microfocus Dimensions, specifically the underlying database structure, is essential.
  • Working knowledge of Missile & Defence and projects is desirable.
  • Due to the classification of data and network access requirements, the job requires on-site presence.

What you'll get to do as a Microfocus Dimensions Data Migration Engineer:

  • To learn how to migrate databases from an old version of Dimensions to a new and supported version of the tool.
  • The aim is to record the migration process to replicate it in the future.
  • To migrate project data from the outdated database version on Secure Network 1 to the new, supported version of the tool, a migration order must be provided based on business risk, usage, and priority.
  • To follow up on migrating project data from the outdated version of the database (located on secure network 2) to the new and supported version of the tool (also on secure network 2), a migration order should be provided based on business risk, usage, and priority.
