Missile Test Architect - (Level 4)
Opportunity for contract extension or made permanent
In IR35 £44.95/hour PAYE; up to £60/hour (Umbrella rate)
37 hours; FT (Hybrid 1-2 DPW)

MBDA, a highly regarded partner of the UK's Ministry of Defence, is actively searching for skilled Test Equipment Engineers to take on a crucial system/sub-system management role. This role requires the ability to expertly define and manage requirements for Test Equipment and oversee its development from service delivery.
What we're looking for:
- Degree in Test, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering, with significant experience in the field.
- Specialization in at least one of the following areas would be beneficial:
- Digital electronics and microprocessor systems.
- Analogue electronics and RF.
- Power Electronics.
- Test Equipment Design.
Key Qualifications:
- Highly skilled individual with experience in product certification against CE directives.
- Experience in requirements capture using DOORS.
- Proficiency in structured Test Modelling techniques and Project Management.
- Strong leadership skills to establish a clear engineering vision.
- Ability to influence managers and stakeholders across the company.
- Determination and desire to succeed.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Willingness to travel when required (including France).
What you'll get to do as a Missile Test Architect - (Level 4):
- Collaborate with customers (internal and external) throughout the Product Life Cycle.
- Assess design documentation to ensure test solutions comply with CE certification requirements.
- Assist cross-functional teams in reducing product defects.
- Manage the status and record of reported test solution defects.
- Interface with customers to keep them informed throughout the development process.
- Support reporting on the time, cost, quality, and performance status of test solution packages.
- Ensure smooth communication and coordination between the project team and Test Equipment supplier.
