A Defence & Missile client, a trusted partner of the UK Ministry of Defence, are currently seeking an experienced Test Architect to join their team in Stevenage. The selected Candidate will be responsible for defining and managing the requirements for Test Equipment and Test Specifications. This crucial role requires someone with a robust skill set and attention to detail.
As an MRP Controller, the successful candidate would additionally report to a senior Manufacturing Planning & Control team member.
What we're looking for:
- Prior experience in manufacturing planning, supply chain management, or a related position is required.
- Supply chain certification is not a mandatory requirement for this role, but it is preferred.
- Proficiency in the use of SAP and MRP systems is required, as well as Microsoft Office skills.
- Good Planning and organising skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with a keen attention to detail, are crucial attributes to possess.
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
What you'll get to do as a MRP Controller:
- Responsibilities include managing and coordinating planning activities to deliver the Manufacturing Planning Schedule (MPS) on time, within budget, and to the desired quality.
- Co-ordination and execution of all activities related to material planning and procurement to ensure timely and adequate supply of materials for efficient manufacturing output.
- Release, manage and schedule all work in the MRP system and ensure delivery forecasts are maintained and communicated to customers.
- Efficiently manage material inventory to meet targets and reduce waste/costs. Ensure MRP accuracy via regular stock checks.
- Collaborate with the supply planner to communicate plan changes and resolve supply chain constraints.
- Identify risks related to supplied parts to the planning and control team lead for escalation within the sales and ops process.
- Logistic Services works closely with Goods Receiving and stores, managing inventory levels, resolving queries, maintaining MRP system accuracy, and submitting paperwork for store and dispatch-related transactions.
- Support adequate non-conformance management controls.
- Maintain the manufacturing bill of materials and manufacturing strategy by ensuring master data is topical.
- Achieve optimal schedule adherence, inventory management, and delivery performance, and execute the planning process effectively.
