Overview

Guidant Global is delighted to be partnering with Airbus, a global pioneer in the aerospace industry, in their search for a Data Administrator. This is an exciting opportunity for a Data Administrator to work with Airbus as part of their Structures Test organisation; based in the Aerospace Integrated Research and Test Centre (AIRTeC), Filton, UK.

The Structures Test Centre UK is part of the Material Processes and Test domain of Airbus. It is one of three Airbus centres that perform or manage the full pyramid of static and fatigue structures tests on all Airbus Aircraft Programmes, as well as R&T, including exciting new projects on hybrid testing and Zero Emissions aircraft.

The Structures Test Centre UK is based in AIRTeC; a £100 million state of the art facility. AIRTeC complements the world leading design, integration, manufacturing, and assembly capabilities which already exist in Filton; specialised in wing, landing gear and fuel systems. The centre is organised into skill groups or operational teams responsible for test leading, test means engineering, advanced test technologies (such as hydraulics, data acquisition, control, and measurement) and test operations (including equipment calibration, test preparation and test completion). This role will work closely with all the test teams.

Responsibilities

  • Identify data that is no longer active and move it from decommissioned legacy systems into long-term storage tools.
  • Using specialist tools to extract data/reports, then capture metadata and tag and store legacy test data in new approved platform.
  • Creation of legacy test data index and knowledge capture cards (as required).
  • Digitise the Material Database CoC's (Certificate of Conformity).
  • On request, perform analyses of data to better inform record creation, arrangement, and mark-up.
  • Gauge data sensitivity and tag in accordance with the company's data management rules.
  • Undertake training of colleagues to share the data storage solutions & how to retrieve the stored data.
  • Work with colleagues to identify methods and workflows for future transfers of further 'legacy data' and capture in a "user guide" in accordance with the team's processes for knowledge management (e.g., creation of a team standard and WiKi page)
  • Compile list of databases used for storing, with a view of one tool to search all db's for users to find required components.

Essential

  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Used to working in a team but with minimal supervision and self-driven results.
  • Able to communicate and interact with a wide range of stakeholders.

Desirable

  • Experience of using records databases and data management archiving tools.
  • Experience of implementing Digital Filing Structures.
  • Experience of working with data in a technical or engineering environment would be an advantage.

Hours

  • 22.5 hours per week - Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (set days)
  • Fully on-site position
