Action for Children does what's right, does what's needed and does what works for children in the UK. Every year, our team changes the lives of 370,000 children, young people and families.
Gwynedd RAP (Repatriation and Preventative Project) is a new service to the area, developed in partnership with Gwynedd council. The project aims to support our colleagues in Children Service s and Education in working with children, young people and their families/carers who are experiencing difficulties that have a negative impact on their lives by offering appropriate Therapeutic services that will contribute to an improvement in their emotional wellbeing.
Our approach is based on promotion, prevention and early intervention in the area of young people's mental health and emotional wellbeing.
Gwynedd RAP helps return young to the local area who have been placed out of the county and support to children who remain in the local area who area at risk of placement breakdown. The project will provide therapeutic interventions to children and young people. These interventions will be delivered directly to children and their families by working in partnership with the children services team.

What you'll need:
To be an integral part of a small team of Family Group Coordinators, Practitioners and Therapists providing a high-quality support service to children and their families on the edge of care proceedings. By engaging with the families referred by children's services, responding to the assessed needs of the children and their families appropriately and swiftly to enable them to positively move forward. By keeping accurate records and monitoring information, adhering to the safeguarding policies and procedures, working flexibly, keeping up to date with all relevant legislation and research. To manage your time effectively by lone working with minimal supervision and addressing family challenges, within all Health & Safety aspects of the role and the organisation. There is an expectancy for the role to support mediation and behavioural support. Due to the logistics of the role you will need to be a car driver and access to a vehicle. What you'll need:
