Project Management Officer (PMO) - Broughton

Location: Broughton, Chester (onsite requirement)

Hours: 35 hours per week (4.5 days, between 7am - 7pm, hours agreed at business discretion)

Pay: £27.68 per hour (PAYE) / £37.02 per hour (umbrella)

Security Clearance: BPSS+ (completed by Airbus Security)

About the Opportunity

We're looking for a motivated Project Management Officer to join our team at Broughton. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in planning, executing, and monitoring projects that shape the future of manufacturing engineering.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Championing project management governance, methods, and tools across the manufacturing engineering department.
  • Supporting project leaders and teams on a daily basis, ensuring robust project and programme management structures are in place.
  • Coaching and raising awareness of best practice project management within the team, and constructively challenging project leaders when needed.
  • Shaping project management methods and tools to fit the needs of each project or activity.
  • Facilitating effective communication and stakeholder management, ensuring alignment with interfacing projects and operations.
  • Promoting Agile ways of working and acting as Scrum Master for project activities where required.
  • Establishing end-to-end project plans, controlling changes versus the initial baseline, and identifying key milestones and critical paths.
  • Tracking project performance, analysing data to anticipate deviations, and proposing preventive or corrective actions.
  • Providing clear and regular reporting throughout all project phases.
  • Leading the Risk & Opportunity Management process, maintaining the associated register, and supporting project leaders with regular updates.
  • Collaborating with Finance to compare costs and progress against planning.
  • Preparing and publishing reports, defining and delivering relevant KPIs and dashboards for effective performance management.
  • Contributing to team reviews and supporting project management reviews and operational meetings.
  • Occasional travel may be required for business purposes.

  • Experience in manufacturing, production, or industrial sectors is highly desirable.
  • Work Preparation and SAP experience are particularly valued for this role.
