An exciting opportunity to work at my clients' site in Filton has become available. I am seeking a Production Interface Officer with experience in Supply Chain, a basic understanding of Aircraft Manufacturing and an understanding of LEAN fundamentals.
Accountabilities
· Responsible for ensuring speedy allocation & distribution of spare parts across multiple Plants
· Collaborate closely with ASO and AIRBUS internal departments
· Manage communication between AIRBUS Production sites & ASO
· Comment/advise on improvement potential regarding the way of working between ASO and the PIT (Production Interface Team)
· Be responsible and accountable for the definition, implementation and reporting of key projects and/or continuous improvement programmes (within a defined area)
· Understand ASO expectations and needs
· Provide status updates to the HO PIT on hot topics and any critical problem areas
· Raise Purchase Orders on external Suppliers
· Support Spares Engineering activities
· Contribute towards a positive and inspiring working environment
Main activities
· Point of contact for ASO ordering team
· Plant Production Coordination (what, when, follow-up)
· ASO sales order follow-up (e.g. source from production, take from stock):
· Compile all required information regarding order status and delivery date
· Ensure on-time and on-quality delivery and shipment of parts
· Provide delivery to Plant updates to Certifying Staff prior to OOH Standby
· Ensure ASO packaging requirements are being followed
· Order for replacement if necessary
· Initiate and follow up FAL & Production removals
· Trigger the provision of commercial data (e.g. cost, lead-time) to ASO on request
- Management of interchangeability from proposal to validation, declaration and loading
- Management of alternates STS from proposal to validation, declaration and loading
- Technical support to Suppliers
- Management of concessions for Airbus Parts
- CAD / CATIA / Models / Drawings provisions
- Request for quotation to suppliers when needed
- Follow-up of ordering activities
- Follow-up of the manufacturing of the ordered parts
SKILLS & COMPETENCES.
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS
· Supply Chain working experience
· Basic understanding of aircraft manufacturing
· Basic awareness of Airline and Aircraft maintenance operations
· Ability to read and consult existing AIRBUS technical documentation
· Ordering processes & IT:
· Standard knowledge in MS office applications
· Basic knowledge of SAP
· Language: Good level of spoken and written English, and the local AIRBUS language
· Understanding of Lean Fundamentals

You would be expected to work a 37 hour week with an hourly rate £20.15 Ltd Company or £15.00 PAYE.
