MBDA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Test Engineer - Electronics to join their core team in Bolton. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting production tests and diagnostics of complex weapons systems and subsystems.

What we're looking for:

  • Minimum HNC/HND level of Engineering qualifications or equivalent.
  • Substantial experience in test engineering, test component diagnosis, and failure analysis.
  • Strong understanding of digital and analogue electronic measurement, test principles, and fault diagnosis techniques (Essential).
  • Familiarity with electrical/electronic system and subsystem integration and test principles.
  • Knowledge of RF and Microwave technology at the subsystem level would be advantageous.
  • Ability to plan and organize work according to assigned priorities.
  • Experience operating manual and automated test equipment in an Electronics Manufacturing environment.

What you'll get to do as a Production Test Engineer - Electronics:

  • Conducting tests on electronic sub-assemblies and diagnosing test failures to ensure efficient throughput of prime equipment hardware during production.
  • Providing test engineering support to operators on the shop floor, including assisting with the implementation of new test equipment.
  • Testing and diagnosing complex electrical/electronic systems, sub-assemblies, and circuit cards down to the component level.
  • Creating test specifications, operator instructions, and technical reports based on higher-level requirements and information.
  • Identifying and implementing remedial and corrective actions in a timely manner to ensure smooth manufacturing operations following production test failures.
  • Participating in meetings with Quality and Operations teams to provide status updates on Test Engineering actions and investigations.
